The history of the automobile actually has an early electric slant to it, but this is less true of pickup trucks. In fact, it is perhaps safe to say that the electric cars of the early day were built for cheapness rather than power, something that is not at all what the pickup truck is all about. The electric pickup truck is probably somewhere in between cars and larger transportation modes as far as the electric revolution is concerned. The truck models that are available right now that run on electricity are actually not that impressive compared with their car counterparts, but they are a lot better than just about any other mode of transportation you will see on the electric market.
